The recent buyout of Whole Foods Market for $13.7 billion by global retail giant Amazon has many health-conscious folks worried about the possibility of major changes taking place at their favorite natural and organic grocer. And who’s to blame them, considering that Whole Foods will now be run by an evil globalist who hates the United States and publishes fake news to ratchet up more control for the deep state.

While there were already problems at Whole Foods under the leadership of its existing CEO, things could go from bad to worse as the company transitions to someone even more sinister. After all, Jeff Bezos is the same guy that essentially turned The Washington Post into a paragon of “fake news.” Will the same thing happen to Whole Foods with even more of its products turning into “fake food?”

With Bezos at the helm, The Post has published a profusion of deceptive and outright false articles over the past year smearing now-President Donald Trump. The obvious goal of The Post under Bezos has been to completely disrupt the normal function of our constitutional republic by inventing fake news stories to rile up the more extreme elements of the “left.” Along with other fake news outlets like CNN and The New York Times, The Post has greatly compromised the stability and cohesiveness of our nation.

At the same time, Amazon has been rapidly acquiring and consolidating power in nearly every area of commerce. There is very little that Amazon doesn’t have considerable influence or total control over anymore, in other words, whether it be consumer products, music, media, and now groceries. Amazon wants to be a one-stop shop for everything, with no viable competition. So the question remains: What does this all mean for the future of Whole Foods Market?

“It only stands to reason that Whole Foods will follow the same path of corruption under Jeff Bezos (as The Washington Post), where ‘health foods’ will become ‘fake foods’ filled with garbage ingredients and toxic contaminants such as pesticides and lead,” says Mike Adams, the Health Ranger.

As convenient as Whole Foods might be in many cities across the country these days, it just doesn’t make sense to shop there anymore, especially when alternatives exist. If they exist in your area, you would be better off seeking out smaller, privately-owned grocery chains or cooperatives to do your health food shopping.

Who knows, Bezos could suddenly decide not to be evil and actually turn things around at Whole Foods, enacting mandatory GMO labeling and a complete ban on pesticides, herbicides, and heavy metals in its products. In that case – and time will tell, of course – shopping at Whole Foods would perhaps be better than the alternative. But if Bezos’ history in retail and media is any indication, this doesn’t seem to be all that likely.

The buyout isn’t technically official, though – Whole Foods Market shareholders still have to approve the deal, as do industry regulators. If everything goes as planned, the deal will be finalized at some point during the second half of 2017.

The grossly deceptive world we live in couldn’t be better exemplified than by conventional medicine. More and more people are expressing their distrust. They see right through conventional medicine’s crooked corporate greed-driven hidden ulterior motives.

It starts with a deliberate narrow corporate sponsored curriculum in medicals schools. This essentially mechanistic, pharmaceutical drug-based approach to health takes the focus of attention away from other alternative health practices to reduce competition.

In research institutions, ulterior motives find their way into corporate sponsored bad science to favour desired experimental outcomes related to profit. Crooked approval bodies then turn a blind eye to a new product’s potential harm while there are agendized political self-interests from corrupt politicians having their hand in allowing the product to get into the market.

Then there’s the paid off mainstream media to repetitively spread the related lies, deception and cover-ups… -In short, money is stronger than truth.

The health care system is a dismal failure because of these greed-driven corporations, governments and related crooked institutions. Indeed, they don’t have our best interest at heart and are capable of doing far more harm than good.

In light of this here are 10 monumentally false claims made by conventional medicine about health:

False claim #1The symptoms are the cause of illness

No! The symptoms are just indicators or the knock-on effects of some underlying root cause. Treat the symptoms and not address the root-cause then the illness will forever return. More and more people are becoming aware that this is how conventional medicine’s Big Pharma drug treatment works and why it is failing us while they make tons of money on returning customers who will never be cured…

-Sadly, indeed, many people are still clueless to this deception while getting even sicker due to the drugs’ side effects.

False claim #2EMF’s (electromagnetic fields) don’t cause harm

The harmful effects of invisible EMF’s are only perceived when ill-health manifests as a consequence of usage: Used in conjunction with the various wireless apps; cell phones, laptops, tablets… then there are smart meters, microwave ovens and other radiations sources, these EMF sources interfere with our own natural bio-electromagnetic energy fields.

Do your research and pay heed to the potential dangers of this deceptively harmful technology.

False claim #3 –Only conventional medicine can effectively treat the life-threatening illnesses such as cancer, heart disease and diabetes.

As already mentioned with medical schools, when it comes to the treatment of disease, anything outside of conventional medicine’s mechanistic, pharmaceutical drug-based approach is basically ignored. Very little, or not enough time (if any time at all), is devoted to the highly effective roles played by the mind-body-spirit connection, nutrition, water and the environment in health and healing.

-In relationship to health and healing how can anyone not give these factors serious attention when they address the very fabric of our being? This wilful ignorance has made conventional medicine blind to the facts that there are cheaper, non-toxic, natural, alternative approaches that have produced highly effective results though addressing the above factors and are capable of curing life-threatening disease.

False claim #4 –Diet/nutrition does not play a major role in the prevention/reversal of cancer

Following on from 2, using cancer as an example and the role nutrition plays in the prevention/reversal of the life-threatening illnesses. Conventional medicine’s wing, the Cancer Research establishment, has basically ignored the life-saving, healing capabilities of diet/nutrition. Take, for instance, the acid and alkaline diets:

It has been established that the body’s blood pH lies somewhere between 7.3 – 7.45. If your blood pH is outside this range then you’d be dead. If someone eats toxic acid foods(essentially junk food) frequent and long-term, lowering the blood’s pH, then this could lead to a serious illness such as cancer.

The healthier option is to eat alkaline foods (e.g. pineapple juice, greens such as broccoli, spinach, watercress and the anti-cancer B17 rich foods like apricots or almonds…etc) that alkalize the body, give rise to a higher blood pH.

Further, conventional medicine has invalidated, suppressed or even ridiculed a number of brilliant and humane innovators with their cancer cures related to diet/nutrition.

There are, for examples, the highly effective Gerson Therapy pioneered by Max Gerson, Harry Hoxey’s herbal remedies and Dr Tullio Simoncini’s ‘Cancer is a Fungus’ using sodium bicarbonate injections.  All these innovations deal with a metabolic dietary deficiency related to a frequent and long-term bad acid diet.

False claim #5 –Mammograms are saving lives

Not true. All the cancer establishment can say for sure is that mammograms detect cancer.  For breast cancer, the early detection claim is a myth because at this stage it cannot be known whether the cancer will turn out to be benign or harmful. Although there is no proof, the cancer establishment is more likely to say that the cancer will be harmful: There’s a lot of money to be made from their offered treatment so biasing; erroneously concluding ‘test positive’ results regularly occurs.

For instance, from a recent Swedish study involving some 60,000 women it was found that 70% of the cancer detected mamographically were not tumours as claimed. They were in fact benign.

Incidentally, mammograms increase the chances of cancer because of the radiation effects. The safer, alternative option for breast cancer screening is infra-red thermography.

False claim #6 –GMO’s are safe while feeding the world with higher yields

Tainting ecosystems; chemical toxicity, destroying species, wreaking havoc on farmlands, creating superweeds giving rise to superbugs and introducing unnatural factors into our food supplies… the harmful effects of GM foods are beyond dispute.

For well over 50 years, the biotech industry has had one major misunderstanding: It’s the idea that 1 gene codes for 1 protein. After completion of the ‘human Genome Project’ in the early part of this millenium it was shown that the 1 gene codes for 1 protein theory had not been correct and was oversimplified. Inserting one gene into a plant’s DNA has not just given rise to 1 protein but a number of other toxic rogue proteins leading to illnesses for consumers of GM foods.

Not ‘feeding the world’ and unnecessary GM foods have produced lower than anticipated yields.

False claim #7 –Vaccines are safe and effective

Officials of sorts making the blanket statement that ‘vaccines are safe’ should be held morally and criminally responsible. Consider the toxic overload children receive before the age of 6 years from some 30 plus different vaccinations (and ri$ing), assaulting their developing immune systems, resulting in a number of illnesses or deaths.

Often associated with vaccination is the term ‘immunization.’ This in fact is a misnomer.Vaccination is NOT immunization and this needs to be legally and scientifically challenged. Toxic, poisonous vaccines with their aluminium, mercury-based compounds, carboxylic acids, formaldehyde, protein foreign bodies and the many other nasty little critters have counterproductive synergistic effects when injected into the body: Thus,vaccines do the opposite to immunize, as immunity is not allowed to naturally develop.

False claim #8 –Fluoride in the water stops tooth decay

The claim that fluoride stops tooth decay is highly questionable with many contradictory findings. For example, tooth decay in fluoridated countries is no different to non-fluoridated countries. There have also been a number of studies to show that it is a nasty poison detrimental to health. Health institutions such as the American Medical Association have allowed these shocking revelations go by unheeded.

Essentially fluoride:  

* …at a concentration a little as 1ppm disrupts our enzymes responsible for DNA repair by half causing premature ageing.

* Affects our nervous and hormonal systems by denaturing (putting out of shape) our enzymes.

* Lowers IQ

*Is a carcinogen.

*Affects thyroid function

*May cause infertility

*Causes fractured bones

*Calcifies the pineal gland

-Don’t drink fluoridated tap water. Drink filtered water (e.g. reverse osmosis) instead.

False claim #9 – High cholesterol means you’ll have a heart attack imminently soon

Conventional medicine with the help of the mainstream media’s fanfare and fear mongering has managed to pull the wool over so many people’s eyes on this one. The claim that high cholesterol means a heart attack is on its way is a myth that has made billions for Big Pharma from statins drug sales as unnecessary treatment.

Contrary to popular belief  

*Atherosclerotic plaque formations (narrowing or clogging of arteries) indicative of heart disease can manifest regardless of blood cholesterol levels.

*The body produces around 3 times more cholesterol than that from your diet. So a steady diet of low cholesterol foods is highly unlikely to reduce your blood cholesterol.

*Stains used to lower cholesterol have failed to reduce heart mortality and totally mortality rates.

Don’t be a sucker for the great cholesterol deception.

False claim #10The Zika virus causes birth defects

Because of a lack of scientific evidence, particularly from Brazil in recent months, the claim that the Zika virus causes microcephaly (severe birth defects resulting in an abnormally small head circumference) has received some major challenges. The CDC claimed that Zika was mainly transmitted via the mosquito Aedes Aegypti. They stated that the transmitted virus finds its way into the pregnant mother and then infects her foetus causing microcephaly.

However, the Brazilian health authorities admitted that there was some other cause and effect relationship because of the lack of evidence supporting the mosquito claim. This was backed up by a recent study from the New England Journal of Medicine. Having examined 12,000 Zika infected women no microcephaly was found. So it was concluded that Zika does not cause microcephaly.

-Consider the media-hyped hysteria prior to this conclusion. What about the unnecessary toxic chemical spraying to kill off the disease-carrying mosquitoes, forced abortions, vaccines and drugs used as countermeasures based on a false pretext?  Then there are the biotech companies who greatly benefitted from manufacturing their GM mosquitoes.

The Zika claim was a deliberately created scam for profit and the advancement of hidden agendas, such as a depopulation agenda (agenda21 aka 2030), typical of a false flag disease. Whether it’s Zika or any other claim more people need to wake up and recognise the patterns that make up a false flag disease to then take the necessary opposing action…

Fed up with taking a nearly two-hour bus ride every time she wanted to buy healthy, vegan food, Los Angeles native Olympia Auset decided it was time she took matters into her own hands.

Cue the birth of SÜPRMARKT, a low-cost organic grocery that operates weekly to provide 100-percent organic produce to low-income families and communities in L.A. with limited access to healthy food options. The grocery store has managed to provide an estimated 200 cases of affordable organic fruit, vegetables and seeds to the city’s Southside community since its inception in July 2016, according to its website.

“I think the greatest takeaway about this project is it shows there are things every person can do to tackle societal issues that face their community,” said Auset, who now resides in Inglewood. “It isn’t always about waiting on corporations or governments to get things done.”

While there are a number of organic and vegan grocery stores across the city, many of them aren’t affordable for families and individuals living on a fixed income. That’s why the Howard University alum made it her mission to ensure everyone had access to fresh, organic foods, no matter their income level. In fact, her grocery store’s motto fittingly declares, “Everyone deserves great food.”

Last year, the 26-year-old spoke with Black Vegans Rock about why she decided to become a raw vegan and the benefits of living a vegan lifestyle.

“Raw vegan is the next step in health/awareness,” Auset commented. “We are all evolving collectively, and raw is the next step in us achieving that God-like spiritual state. I know that when you eat living food, you feel alive — there’s a certain high that comes from eating only living things.”

“Veganism, and even more so raw veganism, creates a certain strength within you to be the change” in other areas of your life,” she added.

Auset said the idea for SÜPRMARKT was also borne out an of an effort to show her friends how to make healthier eating choices.

“One of [my friends’] first complaints would be, ‘Oh, it’s to expensive to eat better,’ ” she said. “But it is crazy when you go into stores and [you need] one tomato and they want like a $1.25 for it.”

Auset has since partnered with organic food sellers in the L.A. area to provide “new” produce and produce deemed “unsellable” by grocers to local communities that can still make use of it, BlackBusiness.org reported. This way, the organic grocery helps limit L.A.’s food waste while still providing organic, vegan food options to the communities that need it most.

The market’s subscription service offers low-cost weekly packages of fresh produce and accepts EBT for all of its food sales. Auset’s initiative also has received grants from The Pollination Project and Co-opportunity and gained the support of notable food figures like Robert Egger of LA Kitchen, according to BlackBusiness.org.

Auset has not responded to requests for comment.

Differentiating hybrid, heirloom, and GMO vegetables can be confusing. Gardeners still interchange these terms, yet the nuances among them need to be understood. These gardening labels describe how the vegetables are reproduced. An article in the gardening website BonnniePlants.com has provided an overview on what makes the gardening methods different from each other.

Hybrid plants vs. GMO plants

Often confused with each other, hybrid and GMO plants’ only similarity ends with the seemingly technical nature of their labels. Hybrid vegetables are plant varieties that are produced as a result of intentional cross-pollination between two varieties of the same plant. The end goal of this cross-pollination is to produce an offspring or “hybrid” that contains the best features from both parent plants. It is important to note that hybrid vegetables are a result of natural cross-pollination within members of a single specie of plant.

During the hybridization process, pollination is carefully controlled to make sure that the best plants are crossed-pollinated with each other in order to obtain the ideal combination, which in turn will result in ideal qualities such as bigger size and increase resistance to diseases. Developing hybrid plants take years to fulfill. Hybrid vegetables often contain combinations of certain traits such as early maturity, better yield, and improved flavor. These varieties are also known to be more resistant to diseases and may require less care. Hybrid vegetables usually look like the ones sold in supermarkets.

A classic example of hybrid plants is the Juliet tomato. This hybrid, Roma-style grape tomato has been awarded the All-America Selections winner in 1999 for its taste, productivity, and increased resistance to diseases. Sun Gold, a sweet and yellow cherry tomato, is another example of a hybrid vegetable.

On the other hand, a GMO plant is a byproduct of genetic engineering. Gene-cloning and protein-engineering are two of the most common molecular genetics techniques used in developing  GMO vegetables. Unlike hybrid vegetables that cross-pollinate among themselves, GMO plants tend to cross-pollinate between other organisms. A classic example of this is Monsanto’s Bt Corn. In order to develop a pest-resistant crop, Monsanto crossed corn with genetic material from the Bacillus thuringiensis bacteria. As a result, pesticide became a primary component of the corn’s cells, discouraging pests from eating the crop. Unfortunately, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has registered the crop as a pesticide, along with other GMO Bt crops developed by Monsanto.

The historic value of heirloom vegetables

While the label’s definition may vary from one expert to another, heirloom vegetables are generally defined as crop varieties that are at least 50 years old and are typically grown before World War II. Most heirloom varieties are cultivated from seeds that have been passed down from one generation to another. Heirloom vegetables can also be hand-picked and grown by gardeners for certain traits. Other heirloom varieties may have also been grown in universities a long time ago.

Unlike the other two varieties, heirloom vegetables are produced using open-pollination. This means that natural factors such as insects or wind will facilitate the pollination process. Heirloom vegetables do not require human intervention to pollinate. These plants tend to retain their characteristics from one generation to another. Unlike hybrid vegetables, heirloom varieties may not produce crops that are uniform in appearance and timing. Heirloom vegetables are touted for their unmatched flavor, especially among tomato crops. What follows on the exceptionally complex subject of light and how it pertains to the body is a topical overview only. The information being provided I myself have researched for over 30 years and am still only scratching the surface. However, those referenced in the article and listed as resources are exactly unparalleled in their particular knowledge on such a vast subject. They are the intellectual phenomenons of our time, and all that has passed. It is through their unique work and experiences that we get to benefit from and are blessed with the opportunity to expound upon. So we are forever grateful for the Champions that have come before us. Perhaps it was best written by Sir Isaac Newton, “if I have seen farther than other men, it is because I stood on the shoulders of giants.”

On the subject of light as fuel, or food source, one would first need to comprehend the general composition or makeup of living beings, or the live body and mind. What causes us to be or not to be. One would also need to know, completely, that we human beings and animals included are electrical in Nature first before all else. There are numerous chemical processes that occur in the body yet they could not, and will not manifest, ever, without electricity, or light.

Remember, this is going to be a non specific on every point, yet profoundly detailed outline in some areas on such an extremely deep and crucial topic. To me, there is no greater subject matter, at all.

The Exquisite Living Being And Our Properties

The human body is known to be made up of 70-100 trillion cells, 100,000,000,000,000. 70-100 trillion cells performing innumerable functions with 12-13 we can clearly identify. Each cell has a digestive system, a respiratory system, circulatory system, excretory system and 8, possibly 9 more, precisely like the body as a unit. We are a summation of these cells and their individual processes. These cells are us and we are them.

Every single cell in our bodies of the 70-100 trillion, are also intelligently designed to operate on-20 millivolts of electricity.

Crucial to each cell will be the mineral rich water that should surround it. Such as babies in the womb being encapsulated in salt water from a healthy mother. When a healthy infant is born they are known to be about 90% water as a whole, even the blood being over 93% water itself. Upon our passing, humans have proven to be somewhere around 30–35%. With this dehydration also comes a greatly reduced ability to function via each cells failing electrical potential. Knowing this, those seeking perfect or betterment of health, even to become stronger, ought to endeavor to enliven the fluids around each and every cell. Thereby the pure fluids become the majority of our cells, remembering that even our blood is about 93% water, or should be. Enlivening the cells requires electricity as does the water which feeds them.

What must be mentioned here is that the Sun and the magnificent energy emitted from it is the cause of all life on the planet. The Sun is the most powerful form of electricity known to man. The topic of electricity is built upon the Sun. And as I have come to know the first Christians were known as helio-gnostics, or, knowers of the Sun. Many of the largest religions today are seemingly based in knowledge of the Sun. Enormous monuments are and have been erected showing respect and admiration for this electric disk in the sky. Even the horrific sacrifice of life as an offering, all have embodied the Sun. Sir Walter Russell determined that the light of the Sun is pure intellect and many prominent researchers feel the Sun is in fact conscious and aware of itself.

Back though to our cells. For more information on the Sun, the references provided at the end of the article are compulsory reading as they are some of the foremost authorities on this material and the essence of life itself I feel.

To measure the voltage within the cells one would need to determine the potential hydrogen, or PH of the fluids surrounding them. Every fluid in our bodies can be measured by the scale below.

PH 0 7 14

Voltage + 400 0 (mv) -400 (mv)

Any fluid below 7 would be seeking to steal electrons and have varying levels of acidity depending on the actual potential of its hydrogen. Hydrogen is simply another term for acid. Fluids higher than 7 are seeking, or at the least capable of being an electron donor, which is equal to alkaline. I will note here that calcium is the most alkaline substance on the planet, and does not move. The most acidic being refined sugar, which is sulfuric acid and travels at the speed of light. Sulfuric acid, or sugar, also explodes and destroys proteins. You are in part, proteins.

Information I research indicates that when the cells, you and I, begin to lose voltage, we malfunction, and if the voltage proceeds low enough our DNA begins to become damaged.

Astute researchers surmise that while our bodies cells operate on -20 milivolts, if we begin to lose electrical potential and get to -15 we become lethargic. At -10mv the person would become ill, and minus 5mv our glands and organs will stop working. If the cells go into a reversal of polarity +5, +10 or +15 mv, it would be akin to placing the batteries in a flashlight incorrectly and they will not function, at all. This is said to be where the damage to our DNA and what we pass on to our offspring occurs.

Pain, infections, lack of oxygen, and cellular expiration, or death, take place when the fluids of the body are in this acidic and unlit state.

The cells in our bodies have the ability to regenerate. For instance the gastrointestinal cells have the ability to regenerate every 2–3 days, the cells of the eyes, every 36 hours, etc. This Author is not referring to stem cell research at all. What we are asserting is to provide the body with the raw materials it needs such as vitamins, minerals, pure water, along with the light from the Sun to grow matter, and to keep the cells in an alkaline state.

So the question then becomes how do we alkalize our bodies and perhaps the even larger one, why is this not common knowledge and made so difficult to discover? This writer will answer the first part and leave it to the reader to perhaps draw their own conclusions as to the rest.

Many more research scientist and the like now are concluding this same wisdom about our electrical light bodies. 25 years ago speaking about this and writing papers on it in college resorted to being snickered at, not so much anymore.

It is from alkalizing foods that light (electricity) is generated, and was also created.

So those that know will apply verified wisdom, ingesting food and select it as a fuel only for the electrical potential, or light it contains. We seek sources of food containing nutrients, things that contain light and that are light. We seek vitamin and mineral rich sources of fuel that harness power. Meanwhile, the vast majority of our entire society entirely misled to focus on calories. Protein, fiber, carbohydrates, enzymes, macros and micros etc, all the lowest level of the tower. To become alkaline disregard the number of calories and concern yourself with the quality of them. Because this is all that matters, the quality of the fuel one is ingesting after eliminating that which is not.

Is the food and light you are taking in to your body strengthening your fluids, or smothering them in acid, becoming the acid. How about the lights people sit under at work or home? Because artificial, man made blue light and fluorescent fixtures are electron stealers. They take life and give you nothing in return. The detrimental effects that these forms of light, particularly the ones that contain the fluorine gas such as fluorescent bulbs would be indescribable in only a few words and is a subject all to itself.

Voluminous amounts of research is available for those interested and of course there is always solutions.

Becoming alkaline is to move towards the alkaline elements such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, and to eat the Sun, and only the food it produces. The Sunlight is in pure food. The human body is designed to be alkaline, yet all of our countless processes are acidifying. So we are in a recovery state at all times. This is fine as long as we are replete with the energy that these processes, even the good ones, are aiming to steal.

And the Primary Source for this energy is again the photon energy we are able to receive from the Sun.

The same Sun that we all seem to take for granted and forget about, just expecting it to be there. The Sun that I know nothing about yet read everything I can pertaining to it, because I know that it is the cause of all life.

McDonald’s is feeling the burn as fewer people choose to dine out, and more people choose to cook at home. The novelty of their all-day breakfast appears to have worn off, as sales and growth have begun to dwindle once again. Now, the fast food giant has turned to something new to help reel customers back in: cutting the prices of drinks.

After last year’s focus on burgers and chicken sandwiches, McDonald’s plans to advertise $1 sodas and $2 McCafe specialty drinks in the hopes of regaining their following across the United States. Bloomberg reports,”McDonald’s leads a $228 billion U.S. fast-food industry that faces slackening growth. After increasing 2.4 percent last year, revenue gains will slow to 1.5 percent this year and 1.6 percent in 2018, data from researcher IBISWorld show.”

Restaurant industry takes a hit while Americans dine at home

The gap between restaurant prices and grocery costs is at an all-time high right now, which has been prompting many people to choose to eat at home, rather than going out. McDonald’s is not the only restaurant in the industry being hit hard by this change. Reports indicate that almost a third of US adults say that they are eating out less frequently than they did just three months ago, mostly due to the sheer cost.

Traffic to restaurants has been dismal since 2009, remaining flat or up by just one percent in recent years. A poll by Reuters/Ipsos revealed that 62 percent of respondents said cost was the primary reason for choosing not to go out to eat. And it’s no surprise: estimates suggest that the consumer price index for food away from home was up by 2.4 percent. Conversely, the cost of eating at home has dropped by about 1.9 percent. And apparently, people are noticing the disparity.

Reports also indicate that people in their 20s and 30s are more likely to dine at “fast-casual” restaurants such as Chipotle or Panera Bread. Julie Jargon, of The Wall Street Journal, wrote, “Increasingly, younger diners are seeking out fresher, healthier food and chains that offer customizable menu options for little more than the price of a combo meal.” Millenials have become the biggest threat to chains like McDonald’s; they’re looking for healthier options, and the price difference isn’t all that much.

Even back in 2014, McDonald’s efforts to engage the 20-to-30 age group fell flat.

Healthy eating trend continues to grow

Retail expert Robin Lewis explains that McDonald’s isn’t the only brand to be affected by strong disinterest from younger age groups. Lewis says that young people are tired of the constant marketing and advertisements that are thrown at them by iconic brands — and are more interested in smaller, more simple marketplaces.

To put it simply, McDonald’s is going to have to work very hard to convince young people their food is healthy if they want to recoup their sales. The fast food giant has already advertised removing antibiotics from their chicken, but it doesn’t seem to be convincing enough. The trend of healthy eating has gotten a strong following, especially among young people, and it only continues to gather steam.

A 2015 survey of more than 30,000 people revealed that younger people are becoming more concerned about the ingredients in their food, genetically modified foods, and organics than previous generations. More than 40 percent of the under-20 age group, and 32 percent of people in their 20s and 30s,  reported that they would be willing to spend more money on healthier food options. Conversely, just 21 percent of baby boomers would be willing to pay more for higher quality food.

The amount of soda being consumed in the United States has also been on a steady decline for the last few years. In March 2016, Business Insider reported that soda consumption had dropped by 1.2 percent in the preceding year. And in 2014, sales had already dropped by 0.9 percent. In total, American soda consumption dropped by 1.5 billion cases in 2015, when compared to the peak volume of 2004.  This is great news, especially given the harmful effects of sugar and high-fructose corn syrup.

While the trend of healthy eating isn’t great for the fast food and beverage industries, it is good for people.

ED vs EL: My Perspective on the Modern Means of Transportation, such as the Car

Within the last four to six months I have done a bit of traveling, from Kansas City to Mobile, Al and other locations. I’ve noticed something that I did not pay any attention to in the past in my Fat Man days. The trips were taken by car, so I’ve spent countless hours on the highway. When I was younger I used to love to travel. I dreamed myself one day taking a cross-country trip across the country seeing all of the sights and countryside that I could possibly take in.

I still have that dream, but it will probably have to come with a disclaimer stating…

**YOU WILL MORE THAN LIKELY GAIN 5-10 POUNDS IN DURING THIS TRIP**

Well, obviously, we tend to get a little carried away with our eating habits when we’re on the road. That is a known fact, nothing new there. But do we really eat that much food when we are out of town? I mean, I’ve come back from these trips three sometimes five pounds heavier than when I left. At this point in my life, I weigh myself practically every other day to keep track of my weight. It’s a tedious habit, but damn it, I refuse to lose over a 100 pounds AGAIN! I sweat bullets every time I step on the scale.

But hey, if I’m eating the right things I shouldn’t worry, right?!

Yeah…that’s the thought process, but I’ve lost weight and gained it all back once before. Excuse me if I’m a teensy weensy bit paranoid.

But moving on…

I don’t eat too crazy on these trips to warrant these considerable jumps on the scales, especially after only a three-,four-day trip. It’s possible, but not likely. I try to stick to the diet that I maintain at home. No meat, majority raw fruits and vegetables.  I could be  retaining water from these trips.

My next question is, how is that possible? 

Considering that I take my exercise regimen on the road, running between 5-7 miles at the closest park I can find. I do find time to sweat out any water I may retain. So how am I still coming back home heavier that I left?

Could it be the actual traveling aspect? Sitting in the car for four to five hours at a time, sometimes ten to twelve (i.e. Atlanta to Kansas City)?

Is it natural for the body to sit that long without any movement?

Answer: “Duh, course not!”

Let’s rephrase the question: Is it natural to sit in a car, an artificial mechanism, for long periods of time, which prevents the body to perform any of its natural movements such as walking?

Answer: “Duh, of course not! That’s why you need to get out and stretch every so often.”

Hey, that’s true. You should take stretch breaks besides the “gas and eat” stops.

But does it really help? Or is it an act with diminishing returns?

How much do we, the common man and woman, know in detail the consequences that heavy traveling specifically by car has on our biology/anatomy?

We can say with certainty that the car is an artificial creation. They are not grown or born from the earth in any shape,form, or any capacity. Massive MAN-ipulation has to occur for the car to be created. It’s not natural AT ALL. We know with the creation of the car countless people have been displaced from their neighborhoods to make way for new roads, the blood (oil) of Mother Earth is constantly being extracted to feed the car, and carbon emissions have quadrupled because of the waste of the car. Not to mention  the countless lives, man and animal, that are lost from car accidents that are perpetuated by drunken and non-attentive (texting while driving) drivers.

All to save time, a illusion in itself. And to look good while we’re doing it. Ha, artificial vanity!

We KNOW in detail the damage the car has done to the collective environment as a whole.So what is it not too conceivable to think that  this artificial concoction is harming our anatomy in ways we can’t fathom?

Driving at speeds that our bodies may not be built to handle at a molecular level?

Disconnecting our bodily vehicles, gifted to us by the Creator, from the earth?

Causing our body to retain waste that many of us consume during our travels?

Is it really that inconceivable?

Hey, I forgot to mention all of the artificial electrical components within the car, these modern brand new cars, that are potentially harming us without our knowledge as well.

Again I ask, is it really that inconceivable?

And we’re just talking about the car. What about the plane? The train? The boat?

Ha, let me stop.

 

I feel for the people who have to commute at least 45 minutes to an hour, even more for some, to work one-way. Can you imagine maintaining, let alone losing, weight while spending 25% -35% of your work day commuting to and fro from a job that more than likely only requires you to work at your desk computer for the remaining 65%-75%? On the American diet that consists of fast DEAD food and heavily processed, artificial foods bought from corporations such as Wal-Mart?

Eggs: A classic, vegetarian breakfast food with just the right amount of protein and fat… At least, that’s what the corporations want you to think. In reality, the protein and fat found in eggs are linked to multiple diseases, including heart disease, and the processes involved with producing eggs are so far from humane, I wouldn’t consider them a “vegetarian” food.

Do you truly know how eggs are produced in the first place? Fair warning: The content in this article is graphic and, after learning how eggs are really made, you may never eat them again.

Here’s How Eggs Are Really Produced

Hens naturally lay eggs, so eating eggs is considered “natural,” right? Wrong. For starters, hens naturally only lay about 12 eggs per year in the wild, whereas hens living on factory farms are genetically mutated to lay between 250 and 300 eggs per year.

Egg laying isn’t a fun process for hens. It’s comparable to the human labour process and can take up to 26 hours to occur. In comparison, that’s like forcing women to be on their period every day for an entire year, just so another species could consume what’s coming out of them. Sounds pretty gross, right? It also takes a lot of calcium for hens to lay eggs in bulk, so many hens end up breaking bones, developing osteoporosis, or even becoming paralyzed.

The reason I don’t consider eggs a vegetarian food is because chickens do, in fact, die in the process. Since male chickens can’t lay eggs, thousands are disposed of all the time. These chickens are slaughtered en masse by either grinding them up alive, disposing of them in garbage bags where they suffocate to death, or throwing them directly into dumpsters where they’ll eventually die. Alternatively, sometimes these chickens get sold and turned into feed for other animals, or even to just hens!

Even though female chicks are the ones producing the eggs, they’re not treated very well, either. This is not only inhumane, it’s also illogical — it makes no sense from a financial perspective to mistreat the animals these corporations profit from. Most hens only live until they’re about a year and a half old because they face so many health risks and are then slaughtered.

The conditions on factory farms are extremely unhealthy, with typically 125,000 hens squeezed into one shed alone, which often leads to hens getting infections, especially because there’s fecal matter everywhere. It’s common for them to injure or kill one another, too, and at any given time, 6 million hens are being starved in their cages.

This process obviously isn’t environmentally sound either. Since the conditions are so poor and eggs are mass produced, there’s a significant amount of land and water required, as a dozen eggs requires 2,400 liters of water to process.

What About Organic, Cage-Free Eggs?

Some people prefer to purchase cage-free or organic eggs because they’re branded as coming from “happy hens” living a more natural lifestyle. Although organic may be the healthier option, unfortunately, the “cage-free” label is merely a marketing scheme used by corporations to make you think you’re choosing the “cruelty-free” option.

In order to meet industry standards, organic and cage-free farms can keep 20,000 hens in one shed. This number is still large enough to allow for the same health hazards to threaten hens. These hens may not live in cages, but they are still crammed into a confined space without access to sunlight. Many of the birds die, their carcasses rot, some get diseases, and other birds fight each other to the death.

At organic chicken farms specifically, it’s standard practice for the hens’ beaks to be chopped off. And no, this isn’t a humane practice — their beaks contain many nerves and pain receptors. This practice is actually done because it prevents birds from plucking out their feathers, a natural response they have to stress and pain.

To address this issue, animal rights activist group Direct Action Everywhere released an undercover video exposing the poor conditions at a Costco egg farm in California that’s labelled as “cage-free.” The conditions are horrific and the video footage shows that many of the birds were covered in blood and feces and some were even plucked to death. You Probably Shouldn’t Be Eating Eggs Anyways

Many of you reading this may be saying, “Eggs are still a healthy source of protein and fat.” What you may not know is that the health risks associated with eggs far outweigh the benefits.

As Michelle McMacken, MD, explains, “Landmark studies have shown that when omnivores eat choline or carnitine (found in meat, poultry, seafood, eggs, and dairy), gut bacteria make a substance that is converted by our liver to a toxic product called TMAO. TMAO leads to worsening cholesterol plaques in our blood vessels and escalates the risk of heart attack and stroke.”

Harvard University researchers recently published a study in JAMA Internal Medicine that examined the association of animal and plant protein with mortality rates and causes as well as longevity of life. They studied approximately 130,000 people for 36 years, monitoring their diet, lifestyle, illness, and mortality. The study found that replacing eggs with plant-based protein led to a 19% reduction in death risk.

Eggs are clearly not conducive to living an environmentally sustainable, healthy, and cruelty-free lifestyle. So, I encourage you to reflect on this knowledge and ask yourself: Does it truly serve me and my body to eat eggs?
