So Long to “The Greatest”

4281602-mte5ndg0mdu0odc2ntu0nzy3

From the Melanated Man:

We lost another legend this past Friday evening June 3, 2016, known as “The Greatest” Muhammad Ali (born Cassius Clay.) Unfortunately, it was a LONNGGG time coming. Due to the violent nature of the boxing profession, Ali became riddled with Parkinson’s Disease (a degenerative nerve disease) in his latter years after his retirement from boxing. It was said that he died from complications with from respiratory issues.

Considering that Ali’s body was ALREADY COMPROMISED from years of physical trauma, severe emotional distress adding up to the aforementioned Parkinson’s Disease, it shouldn’t shock ANYONE that something involving a natural bodily function of breathing to kill off “The Greatest.”

Ali was truly one of a kind.

I wasn’t born when Ali was at the peak of his powers not only as boxer, but as a BLACK-MELANATED human being. So only know what has been shown in documentaries, featured films, and books. It seemed that Ali was not your normal everyday athlete who ABSOLUTELY had no trace of CONSCIOUS whatsoever (**cough** Michael Jordan **cough**), although during his time, athletes (BLACK-MELANATED athletes) like him  were a little more commonplace than they are today with the likes of Jim Brown, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bill Russell and the such.

The times with which they were on top called for that type of athlete, especially during the 60s and 70s where hot topics such as the Civil Rights Movement, racism, segregation and prejudice, and the Vietnam War dominated the scene.

Oh, how things have NOT CHANGED AT ALL OVER THE YEARS!

Same shit, different toilet (or century.)

My original thought was to say that we NEED that type of athlete during this time as well.

To help bridge the gaps that have been slowly separated again over the last 50 to 60 years.

But again I say, SAME SHIT, DIFFERENT CENTURY!

And maybe that was the problem (or PLAN, depending on which side you view it from.)

Muhammad Ali and athletes of his ilk started something that would have been MAGNIFICENT for the people, BLACK-MELANATED PEOPLE, they represented and supported them through THICK and THIN.

Something that would cause BLACK-MELANATED PEOPLE…

To graduate from meaningless athletics that only cater and benefit the elite of society and their machination known as THE MATRIX!

To be the BLACK MEN and BLACK WOMEN we were destined to be, besides what is expected of us by the-powers-that-be.

To help produce the SELF-DETERMINATION in the MINDS of BLACK-MELANATED PEOPLE to escape the whims of Massa and build the civilization that will EMPOWER and ENHANCE EVERY ASPECT OF THEIR LIFE ON THIS PLANET!

That something NEVER matured.

And on a GREATER scale, the collective CONSCIOUSNESS of OUR PEOPLE NEVER MATURED.

Somewhere along the way our athletes became COMPLACENT, they became COMFORTABLE. They begin to buy into the trickeration of DIVERSITY AND UNITY OF ALL MEN.

INTEGRATION!

As I said earlier, maybe that was the PLAN all along.

Integrating into their system was never for OUR benefit. It was for Massa’s.

And maybe those athletes never truly understood what was going on. How this whole “WE ARE THE WORLD” nonsense would create havoc for their people. I only hope that if they did, they would have tapped out of the MADNESS a LONG TIME AGO.

OR…maybe they DID. Which I completely understand. We ALL know what happens when we speak out AGAINST the-powers-that-be.

(Sighing shaking my head.)

If you think I’m off on this, only look at our situation today. You can make the case that the PLIGHT of BLACKS have gotten WORSE.

THEY HAVE GOTTEN WORSE!

When are going to start looking INSIDE instead of OUTSIDE OURSELVES for our LIBERATION?

Muhammad Ali did many great things within his 74 years of life on this planet, in this PARADIGM. He inspired, and CONTINUES to inspire, the multitudes of people, not only BLACKS, to be more than what is required of themselves.

His determination to be “The Greatest” is something that ALL types of people can relate to.

And what if Ali and athletes like him during that time were only meant to pass the torch to future generations of BLACK athletes, who themselves would be more than their physical gifts offered,  to further the CAUSE of BLACK-MELANATED LIBERATION?

Maybe these future generations are just DROPPING the ball (**cough** Lebron James **cough**.)

Oh, I forgot, it’s all just ENTERTAINMENT anyway.

AGAIN…WHEN ARE WE GOING TO STOP LOOKING INSIDE INSTEAD OF OUTSIDE OURSELVES FOR OUR LIBERATION??

“Don’t worry…I’LL WAIT!!”

No, seriously, I’ll wait. I’m that patient.

R.I.P. to “The Greatest”, Mr. Muhammad Ali!

X-MEN: Apocalypse Decoded!

_1450048116

From the Melanated Man:

(DO NOT READ THIS REVIEW IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE YET. THAT IS, IF YOU WISH TO SEE IT.)

I have been waiting for this movie to come out for about a year. I thought I could receive much hidden information from this movie concerning the plight of black-melanated people.

It didn’t disappoint for ME!

Even though the movie only received a so-so reviews from critics, which is present DOUBT to watch the movie.

For the CONSCIOUS few, ENTERTAINMENT SHOULD NOT BE YOUR FOCUS WHEN WATCHING MOVIES.

Gaining KNOWLEDGE should be PRIORITY #1.

It has been said numerous times by those in the know that the X-MEN canon is loosely based on blacks from ancient times. Heck even the creators of X-MEN have admitted on record that Professor Xavier and Magneto were based on the personas of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X, respectively. That makes sense.

Note: My thoughts and perspective on this film is my OWN. My intention is not to influence yours, but to share and dialogue.

Let’s begin with the background on the title nemesis Apocalypse. And for your own benefit, please DISREGARD the tired plot of good vs. evil so you can understand clearer.

He is claimed to be the VERY FIRST MUTANT from time immortal. He is able to transfer his consciousness over time from one mutant body to another. This symbolizes ancestral reincarnation and how knowledge and wisdom was passed down amongst the generations of black –melanated people concerning our culture and abilities as a people. This is common belief within ancient African spiritual cultures that still exist to this day.

In the beginning of the movie, set in Egypt 3600 B.C during the HEIGHT of Black civilization NO LESS, this routine transfer procedure was taking place. It occurs in one of the Great Pyramids, with the help of the Horsemen of Apocalypse and Egyptian guards (who are WHITE ARABIC OF COURSE) as well as the rest of the population.

(We all know that Egypt had a predominantly BLACK population during this time period. But this information is NOT promoted in the mainstream.)

The Pyramid is used as the portal for the transfer, which is activated by the SUN (a BLACK MAN/WOMAN’S BEST FRIEND, remember?) The guards, who are secretly against Apocalypse, succeed in disrupting the procedure, defeating Apocalypse and his Horsemen,  rendering him into a coma-like sleep for over 5600 YEARS!!!

According to many sources on ancient Africa, this time frame translates accurately to the downfall of BLACK civilization.

The knowledge of mutant origins was lost. Sound familiar? This symbolizes how our entire culture was lost and signaled the deterioration of OUR advanced civilization. This was a civilization that respected nature and the earth, where all its inhabitants who were blessed with the gift of MELANIN were IN-TUNED with the planet and each other.

In the midst of its FALL, a new highly advanced, albeit destructive, civilization arose it its place.

The movie is then shifted to the 1980s, during Cold War times.

The mutant population (symbolizing black-melanated people) is in a fractured state. They are underrepresented and marginalized people, who are unfairly vilified and dehumanized by regular humans (symbolizing the majority of Caucasian, European population.) In one scene, the mutants Nightcrawler and the winged Angel are forced to battle to the death in front of, I assume, an all non-mutant crowd, which symbolizes blacks participating in meaningless sports to please the masses of FOOLS. Also, we get a good glimpse of the main X-MEN characters during this time.

Mystique, the transforming blue-colored mutant, has resorted to hiding behind her regular human form to survive, just like many blacks fit into Western civilization through white-washed appearances to blend in.

The mutant king of metal Magneto (with the persona of Malcolm X, remember?) has succumbed to a regular human life of metal-making (go figure!) with a wife and mutant child on the side. He understands the TRUE nature of  regular people he serves but only wishes to live a life away from his past transgressions (symbolizing his black radicalism) towards the-powers-that-be in the previous X-MEN installments.

Professor Xavier (with the M.L.K. persona before M.L.K. became RADICAL himself) and Beast run the Xavier Institute for the Gifted, with young mutant students such as Jean Grey and Cyclops. This symbolizes how blacks, knowingly and unknowingly, indoctrinate themselves into the current system from kindergarten to post-secondary (or college.) Professor X knows the capabilities of regular humans and how their fear could ultimately lead to disaster for the mutants, but he believes fitting into THEIR society will benefit the mutant’s welfare.

During this time back in present-day Egypt, a secret society (symbolizing underground radicalized blacks) has sought to bring about the awakening of Apocalypse (symbolizing black man/woman awakening.) The CIA has been keeping tabs on this society (symbolizes how the FBI/CIA has blocked/prevented Black liberation over the years.) They are successful with their task, and Apocalypse arises  from his 5600 PLUS years slumber.Apocalypse notices the predicament in the current world landscape he wakens to making statements such as “the weak has taken over the earth” and calling those in charge “false gods”, which symbolizes whites in control in reality. He recruits a young Storm, Angel, Magneto, and the telepathic and telekinetic mutant Psylocke to rebuild his Horsemen. He enhances their powers in the process (symbolizing their awakening to their gift of blackness, or MELANIN.) His goal is to bring an end to the current paradigm and bring about another world conducive to willing mutants, symbolizing the end to Western civilization and returning the planet to its ORIGINAL PEOPLE!

Raven returns to Professor Xavier (which is a TRICK to the UNAWAKENED) to warn him of the ensuing cataclysm, but it is too late as Apocalypse kidnaps the Professor and has plans to use him as his NEXT host to transfer his consciousness to. He is enamored by the Professor’s ability to CONNECT with all living beings, regular and mutant, having the POTENTIAL to control their minds as well. He tells the Professor that he does not need a “machine” to enhance his telepathic powers (symbolizing a time in the past where BLACKS were so connected within themselves that there was NOT A NEED for external materialism or devices because they had the gift of MELANIN.)

So of course, the X-MEN go and fight Apocalypse and his new set of Horsemen to prevent the transfer.

Quick note: Apocalypse is able to create a pyramid from SCRAP METAL, gathered by Magneto, with the use of his powers ALONE.  This brings to question how the Great Pyramids  were REALLY built, considering that BLACKS built the Pyramids and AGAIN, NO ONE HAS EVER REPLICATED THEM!

At first, Apocalypse vanquish the X-MEN with ease with the help of his Horsemen, but soon thereafter, Storm and Magneto defect from the team (losing their awakening), and Angel and Psylocke are defeated. This leaves only Apocalypse to fight the X-MEN and the newly defected Storm and Magneto. Apocalypse is able to hold off the surge until the meek but supremely telepathically GIFTED  Jean Grey is prompted by a near-dead Professor Xavier to  unleash her powers, destroying Apocalypse for good (I was disappointed.)

Symbolically at that moment, Jean Grey represents the one thing that truly prevents the AWAKENING OF BLACKS AS A WHOLE all over the globe: BLACK WOMEN’S’ unwillingness to break from the CURRENT PARADIGM!!! IF ALL HUMAN LIFE BEGINS AND ENDS WITH THE BLACK WOMAN, THEN IT’S SAFE TO SAY THAT OVERALL CONSCIOUSNESS IS DICTATED BY THE BLACK WOMAN!!!

To consider that possibility,  we MUST assume that mutants represent BLACKS as I reiterated before. Imagine the white X-MEN characters  are the WHITEWASHED representation to HIDE that fact.

They add insult to injury by BAMBOOZLING an already UNCONSCIOUS audience to believe that the WHITE WOMAN is our SAVIOR when the WHITE REPRESENTATION of Jean Grey comes to the rescue at the movie’s end (smh.)

The movie is scripted in such a way that it SUBCONSCIOUSLY programs your mind to be against any entity that threatens the STATUS QUO, of THE MATRIX. With a closer look, Apocalypse DOES NOT ACTUALLY cause any actual harm to any civilians unless he feels threatened. And any mutants that were harmed, it was caused in part by their ignorance to protect the STATUS QUO, choosing not to embrace or even consider Apocalypse’s perspective/point of view.

Just like mutants , X-MEN, BLACKS who are not CONSCIOUS continue to fight against their OWN FREEDOM AND LIBERATION without any realization or thought to what they are doing. We have been TOLD what is GOOD and what is EVIL since birth, not even considering or even entertaining the idea that maybe what we find as EVIL could be for our OWN BENEFIT.

But if we want to continue to INTEGRATE into “burning house”, as Martin said many years ago right before his assassination, believing that us mutants are just like everyone else in this world, WE WILL SOON FALL INTO THE ABYSS LIKE THAT REST OF THE REGULARS!!!

If anyone has watched the movie already, please feel free to add to this dialogue. I am more than willing to share thoughts and opinions involving the film. Again, my perspective is mine ONLY, and ONLY MINE. It’s based off my experiences and  research up to this point in my life.

If not, I encourage you to watch this movie with your THIRD EYE; LOOK DEEPER than what they are showing you on the screen.

Oh, I recommend going to the matinee times. It’s HALF the cost of the prime time slots.

Words that start with EN: Entertain

31

From the Melanated Man:

Next in the series of words (mainly the verb form) that begin with EN, we move on to the word ENTERTAIN. Entertainment is important in upholding the current paradigm.

Entertain

  1. to keep up, maintain, to keep (someone) in a certain frame of mind,

      2. to provide (someone) with amusement or enjoyment

      3. to give attention or consideration to (an idea, suggestion, or feeling.)

As we all know from the previous posts, the etymology of the letters en- means “within and/or inner.” No one can hold your attention or keep you within a certain frame of mind without you VOLUNTARILY giving them your attention.

In everything we do in life, it comes down to choices. We choose to succumb to the devices of others, when it comes to entertainment. We know statistically (so they say) black-melanated people are the biggest TV watchers in the United States if not the world. Also, we know that most of  our major success from economical to personal achievement occurs within the entertainment industry.

That includes sports, music, acting, etc…

We are some TALENTED people. Side-stepping for Massa…the masses!

It is needless to mention that the entertainment industry overall was worth around $2 billion dollars in 2015. Can you imagine how much of that was generated by black-melanated people?

AT LEAST HALF OF THAT!!

We could probably solve most, if not all, of our community’s problems with that amount of revenue. But I’m not going to harp on these issues because they have been talked to death for years and years and will be talked about for MORE YEARS because it’s bypasses the REAL issue.

WHY IN THE HELL DO WE NEED ENTERTAINMENT TO MAKE OUR LIVES BETTER?

WHY DO BLACK FOLKS HAVE TO DO WHAT THE ROMANS (Caucasians, Europeans) DO?

Can you imagine your existence in this day and age WITHOUT some form of entertainment?

What’s sad is that you can’t! I can’t either! It is embedded within our DNA.

WE HAVE BEEN DUMBED DOWN FROM THE WOMB!

On a real tip, our lives are not as meaningful as they should be because we are witnesses to others’ lives or what is portrayed to us on a SCREEN. Movies, sitcoms, daily gossip shows, sports games, video games, and even the DAMN news.

We are told WHAT and HOW TO THINK! Tell me you haven’t heard that many times before. Anytime and every time you give your attention to anything outside of yourself that was produced by many servicemen and women (i.e. the beginning and end credits), it’s a gimmick (I may have took that one from another blogger, who I can’t remember at the moment, but it’s true all the same!!)

It’s MIND CONTROL! It takes many creative forces to FABRICATE a reality that can hoodwink the minds of the masses.

And to piggyback on my post from last week , the many activities we ENTERTAIN ourselves with, like circuses and theme parks of the likes, outside of a ARTIFICIAL screen does not make it better. Just like with the TV or smartphone, many servicemen and women (and kidnapped animals!) have to be brought together to put on the production for our entertainment, or our enjoyment.

Are our everyday lives really THAT dull? Or are we SUBCONSCIOUSLY being put to sleep by those who continue to steal from us in every way imaginable?

Hmmm…

Now granted, some of the activities I listed such as sports, music, and acting can have spiritual and physical benefits for those who participate in those endeavors. NOT FOR THOSE WHO WITNESS OTHERS IN THESE ENDEAVORS!

Are you a witness? (I sound like a preacher, don’t I?)

For instance, I created this blog due in part because I wanted to share my gift and knowledge with others and it gave me a release. I have followers (thank you!)who read this blog, who have that capacity to write and express themselves if they CHOOSE to do so; some of you do and I FOLLOW you as well!

(Trust me, I think ALL of you who follow me can write and express themselves in some form or fashion. You don’t have to be Toni Morrison. Look at me!)

And my blog is informative and NOT for entertainment (it can be funny from time to time), so you are hopefully  benefiting in some way from the words I write.

This is my long-winded way of saying that ALL activities you participate in EVERYDAY you should be able to benefit from in some capacity such as exercise, spiritual growth and healing.

It’s like any relationship, GIVE AND TAKE! You give your attention, you receive a benefit

NOT ENTERTAINMENT, WHICH YOU GET NOTHING BUT AN EMOTIONAL REACTION! Which is what it boils down to.

You can’t live life through your EMOTIONS. Emotions are like the wind…they come and go! So remember…

ENTERTAINMENT=EMOTIONAL REACTION!!!

Most black people in this country have lived and STILL ARE LIVING through their emotions. Church being a prime example. It’s not to far-fetched to say that church is religious entertainment. Not only do we give our attention to it, we give our resources (money, money, money!!!)

Seriously ask this question: what has church done for you who still attend besides give you an EMOTIONAL REACTION??? What have you truly benefited from it besides the very few of you who PARTICIPATE in the spectacle for the witnesses…I mean church members?

I’m done…I can ramble on and on about this ENTERTAINMENT BULLSHIT!

Oh, one last thing…those of you who wish to aspire to be big-time within the entertainment industry with your many talents and gifts or know others who want to be, just remember you are only becoming an agent for the-powers-that-be to sell this reality/production/paradigm we are currently physically and METAPHYSICALLY locked into. Also, my brother told me of a quote stating that the reason we pay attention to entertainers so much is because they can articulate OUR FEELINGS for us.

Are we really THAT BUSY to tend to OURSELVES?

How can someone OUTSIDE OF YOURSELF tell you anything ABOUT YOURSELF??? (ENLIGHTENMENT ANYONE?!)

Doesn’t this sort of DEPENDENT behavior sound familiar? (Yes it does, Massa.)

Let’s wake up, y’all! Time is TRULY running out.

Food for Thought: Making a Correlation Between the Real World and “Theme Parks”

From the Melanated Man:

Been on hiatus for a week due to reasons obvious to those who know me personally (lol.) I should be on hiatus STILL; trying to get my bearings back up to speed. I didn’t want get too rusty though.

Today I’m going straight to the point. Here goes.

We’ve all been to theme parks, county fairs, circuses, etc., right?

We ride the rides, play the games, watch various shows and demonstrations, AND eat the high priced food that is offered as well.

First we pay an ENTRANCE FEE to enter  and in SOME INSTANCES we have to pay for the activities BEFORE we can participate.

We BUY into this REALITY or SYSTEM (what a double whammy, huh?)

All for our ENJOYMENT.

Does this sound like everyday life to you?

It does to me.

If you think about the obvious connection through *entertainment, we pay for our:

-Cable TV, online video games, gambling, etc.

-Music concerts, comedy shows, sports events, movies, etc.,

-Dinner at fancy and semi-fancy restaurants, hanging at clubs and lounges, etc…

The list goes on and on.

AND we don’t spend arcade or Chuck E. Cheese  coins on this MADNESS, we use our hard-earned money (*is there really a difference between the two?)

This sort of behavior applies to the more mundane things such as:

-Paying your regular bills (*when did cell phones become a utility?),

-Paying for groceries that are 99.9% likely to KILL YOU SOFTLY than sustain you,

-Paying for that 5-bed 4-bathroom “mansion” with a white picket fence,

-Paying for that luxury vehicle (or your regular minivan) you drive to work to keep up appearances,

-Paying your kids’ indoctrination, sorry I mean college tuition, as well as the many loans you took out to pay for YOURS from 15-20 years ago!!!

Again…the list goes on and on!

AND…For what?

To keep up with the Joneses?

Have we been so drugged down with so much UNNATURAL FOOD, *DEADLY MEDICATIONS, and *FALSE RELIGION to escape this circus?

Are we too AFRAID to walk our OWN path, BLACK PEOPLE?

One would THINK  we would at some point want to leave the circus or theme park or whatever.

Or more aptly, the PLANTATION!

We should OUTGROW these devices, put our childish things away, and grow the FUCK up!

Learn how to take care of OURSELVES and get past the *LOW-VIBRATION activities concerning ENTERTAINMENT.

But we are FAR from that. Still we are consumed with a CHILD’s mindset.

And the funny thing is we are SUBCONCIOUSLY teaching our kids this pattern of behavior.

(Don’t worry, I’m guilty as well.)

Think about that the next time you take your kids to Chuck E. Cheese or Dave and Busters!

Black Women, Don’t Fall for the Okie Doke!!

“My name is Harriet Tubman and I didn’t approve of this. Where’s my cut?”

From the Melanated Man:

I had to break from the posts I had scheduled because I have something that’s burning that I need to take of my mental oven before I let it BURN!

“We interrupt this broadcast on eating habits for this special public announcement…”

This message is specifically for you, black women! YOU ARE UNDER ATTACK AS WE SPEAK!

First off, I don’t believe in coincidences.

Everything that is released and/or displayed to the general public by the media is planned and coordinated.

There is no so such thing as CHANCE with the powers that be.

I bring to your attention the subject of Harriet Tubman gracing her presence on the American $20 bill, and the well-timed release of Beyonce’s latest album Lemonade.

Let’s start off with the Miss Harriet Tubman…

If you’re not familiar with Harriet Tubman (I’m pretty sure you are), she is one of the major pioneers of the Underground Railroad, a system of secret routes and passages for freeing slaves back in the early to mid 1800s. Anyone who knows anything about slavery and the United States understands the two go hand and hand. The United States used free labor (BLACK SLAVERY!) to build the economic foundation of this country.

This is what you call raw, unregulated capitalism!

And the thinking goes that Harriet Tubman was against this form of capitalism (or any form of capitalism that takes advantage of the meek ) to where she risked her life to free her fellow brothers and sisters from the tyranny.

America is ruled by the almighty *dollar, which is the symbol of American capitalism.

Which pretty much contradicts everything Harriet Tubman stood for.

But let’s assume that by placing Harriet Tubman of the $20 dollar bill it means that times are changing and true racial progress is developing. Does racial progress mean economic progress for black-melanated people?

Will we rise from the doldrums of the economic latter and prosper like our Caucasian-brethren?

Will “Black Lives Matter” FINALLY? Or are we being pacified by Massa?

I don’t think Miss Tubman would approve.

Hope it has some seeds in that lemon…

Now to Beyonce…

Miss Knowles (or Mrs. Carter to those who respect their marriages) released her album secretly and unannounced to the public this past Saturday night.

(For those you who don’t me, I’m not a fan of Queen Bey or her “Beyhive.” )

I listened to about a quarter of the album and talked with others who listened to the album in its entirety (looking at you, wifey and bro-ham!) and got the sense that it was a bash ’em, emasculate-your-husband-to-the-world extravaganza, minus a song or two concerning our young black men being shot down by the police.

I understand the woman may be hurt that her husband Jay-Z cheated on her, AND I  understand she needed a way to vent. But did she have to broadcast ALL OF HER EMOTIONAL BAGGAGE TO THE ENTIRE WORLD? Emboldening every woman (BLACK WOMAN) to emasculate (or flat-out embarrass them) their man as well, just because he slipped up with a “side ho?”

(*I’m not going to get into the COMICAL semantics of  modern-day monogamy because that’s a post all by itself, but I digress.)

REALLY? Like we BLACK MEN don’t get enough of that (I told on myself didn’t I?) Images like this only WIDEN the divide between BLACK MEN and BLACK WOMEN.

Have you had ENOUGH OF THAT?

I understand the influence of the music industry. Also, I understand the influence of certain popular music artists (Beyonce, Jay-Z, Kanye West, etc.)  have on many feeble minds of the masses. We strive to be the images that they so effortlessly portray. They are brilliant marketers for Massa.

Their every move is calculated; it goes well beyond just dollars and cents they make off us common folk.

So what do Harriet Tubman and Beyonce have to do with all of this?

Well, there’s a certain Clinton running for the Democratic Presidential ticket. And it’s not Bill again.

Hillary Clinton needs all the help she can get to win the ticket and the Presidential election. What better way to build the self-esteem of BLACK WOMEN (potential voters) than to place a sacred pioneer like Harriet Tubman on the $20 dollar to make it seem like BLACK WOMEN have a voice in this country?

And while you’re at it, let’s devalue men (BLACK MEN) even more than they already are due to unemployment and the likes by further emasculating them?

It’s all a ploy. The timing is impeccable. During the Primaries?

Do you seriously think Trump is getting in that office?

Don’t get gamed into it BLACK WOMEN.

These are the same people (Caucasians) who called you nappy-headed heathens and imposed a European standard of beauty so you can FIT into their system.

You TRY to imitate THEIR STYLE!

These are the same people who raped your ancestral mothers and sisters and diluted your gene pool in the process.

You create further  dilution with INTERRACIAL RELATIONSHIPS!

These are the SAME people who know deep down you are the *MOTHER OF ALL CIVILIZATION AND THE HIGHEST VALUED BEING ON THE PLANET…

…All because you can REPRODUCE BLACKNESS (MELANIN!!!)

*And they know that IF and WHEN you all collectively become CONSCIOUS, their rule will END.

But your minds are on things that have NO LIFE OR LIGHT within them. And I’m not just talking about eating either.

*You’re trying to fit into a lifestyle that does not suit your natural gifts and talents.

You’re blessed straight from the WOMB.

From your hair, lips, and thighs. To your intuitiveness, spirituality, and UNMATCHED unconditional love.

There’s no other like you.

BLACK MEN ARE YOUR ALLIES, NOT YOUR ENEMIES!!

And we love you for who and what you are and can become!

Remember that BLACK WOMEN! Don’t fall for the Okie Doke !

Rest in Peace to a Prince…

From the Melanated Man:

Rarely I keep up with the entertainment news due to the reason of *WHO is in control of it. But when an major icon, a MAJOR black-melanated icon, passes away too soon that is MAJOR news in my eyes.

The artist formerly known as Prince passed away yesterday from bouts with the flu. He was ONLY 57. Some people don’t believe the flu ( or influenza) killed Prince, even though there are people who die from the flu yearly. I have heard people say that his immune system may have been weakened by an unannounced case of cancer or diabetes, with the flu pushing off the edge. He has been on record saying that he battles with *epilepsy, a very serious neurological disease that is nothing to play with.

And Prince was a *VEGETARIAN!!! REALLY?! That means he was SOMEWHAT health conscious, right?

(Which begs the question…I wonder what KIND of  vegetarian Prince really was?)

The fact that Prince had to go outside of the black-melanated community for medical care and advice is a problem. We can’t take care of ourselves.

The fact that their (Western, Caucasian medical philosophy) care and advice is considered CARE and ADVICE for us is THE PROBLEM. We don’t KNOW HOW to take care of ourselves.

People can speculate whether he was killed underhandedly by another entity and it may be a cover up of some sorts. And it may be true; we will never know.

But I can honestly see that it wouldn’t have been necessary. Prince took *MEDICATION (which is poison) so he can hurry back to touring so he please the Massa…I mean the masses. The medication could have mistakenly or unmistakably  interacted with his epilepsy and with him being alone in a elevator, he could have had a seizure with no help around and died.

That is entirely possible. We trust and lay with the enemy and their medical machinations, we perish. Sooner or later.

Just like Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, etc.,etc., etc.!!!!

All for the sake of *ENTERTAINMENT. Or shall I say *MENTAL DETAINMENT.

Working for our MASTERS; to keep our minds OCCUPIED.

Prince  wrote and sung beautiful music beloved across the globe. He was special, and shouldn’t have had to go outside of his community for medical assistance.

He fought, then gained total control of his brand. That made him an enemy to the music industry, but now an unmistakable ally with his death and the billions AND BILLIONS of dollars he is going to make them now. We shouldn’t allow our people to be used like a rag doll for another man’s survival and purpose.

Let’s keep educating ourselves people…on OURSELVES, inside AND out!

Thank you for your contribution Prince, and may the Creator bless you in the afterlife! We love you!

Peace and love to my melanated family,

The Melanated Man

In Relation to Kendrick Lamar…

From the Melanated Man:

(If you have not noticed, I did not mention Beyoncé’s video or her Super Bowl performance, and I did watch those two “productions.”  The only reason I watched is because I cohabitate (sarcasm) with a certain Beyoncé fanatic and she loves everything sold to her by the Beyoncé brand.  Personally, I find Kendrick’s intentions sincere, unlike the fabulous Beyoncé. And plus there were many others who articulated that point already on other platforms, like the article listed below.)

How the Corporate Media Uses Beyoncé to Co-opt the Black Radical Movement

by Reggie E. and edited by Danny Haiphong

“Black capitalism fights to break down the barriers of institutional racism only to ally with the Empire and reap the benefits of the capitalist system responsible for Black oppression.”

Art is a powerful tool in the fight against US capitalism and white supremacy. It has the power to unleash the narrative of the oppressed and express how the system affects the people on a spiritual level. Artistic expression provides a space to be explicit – a space to be critical. Music, in particular, has been used as a tool to spark radical thinking and organization in the struggle for justice. However, under capitalism, the power of art has also been co-opted by corporations for the purposes of profit and propaganda.

Beyoncé’s release of “Formation” has created much buzz both in the corporate media and amongst the masses. The song and the music video have been interpreted as political, radical even. Beyoncé’s latest work has been described as “subversive” and “unapologetically Black.” But from the authors’ perspective, Beyoncé appeared to be doing her usual self-exaltation by boasting of her financial gains and staying true to the neo-liberal feminist line she’s been employing as of late. Is the Destiny’s Child lead-turned-icon looking to cash in on the Black Lives Matter movement to promote her product and to announce her exceedingly expensive concert tour? Is it a coincidence that the song was released around the same time that her husband, capitalist mogul Jay-Z, revealed that Tidal would be investing $1.5 million to essentially co-opt BLM?  Neither the movement nor the media are asking these questions.

“The presence of Black women or Black people in the media and the love of one’s own natural hair will not, in and of itself, make us free.”

Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s “pro-Black” brand is just the rollout of their 2016 business plan.  And the plan is working. My peers and comrades, even those typically critical of the corporate media, praised Beyoncé’s recent work as brave and “woke. “ For some, the imagery of Beyoncé’s daughter sporting her natural hair was enough, being that Beyoncé does not ordinarily exemplify or publicly model that aesthetic herself. To others, it was refreshing to see her celebrate her cultural roots, albeit superficially, with enticing props, scenes, and garments. Others pointed out that the imagery acknowledging police brutality (although they were seized from other artists in an imperialist fashion) carried a powerful statement.

The Obama era has been rife with symbolism. This development has caused great harm to the masses. The Obama period has shown that the presence of Black women or Black people in the media and the love of one’s own natural hair will not, in and of itself, make us free. No amount of costumes, Black Panther imagery, and perfectly synchronized dancing can veil the corporate media’s attempt to co-opt the bourgeoning movement with a Beyoncé song that is both anti-black liberation and counter-revolutionary.

Analysis of Formation

Beyoncé’s song Formation “slays” listeners with references to her personal successes within the entertainment industry – that is, her financial fortitude and celebrity. She concludes that gaining her level of riches and fame while being a Black woman (within a majority white space) makes her exceptional – that she is “winning” in the capitalistic game. She goes on encourages her listeners, black girls and women, to embrace individualism so they too can become as successful (rich) as she is:

Sometimes I go off, I go off

I go hard I go hard

Get what’s mine, take what’s mine

…or else, Black women and oppressed people will find themselves falling behind. In her own words,

Slay trick, or you get eliminated.”

Beyoncé demands that Black women take on the oppressor’s attitude.  Her definition of liberation is the embrace of capitalism and on being upwardly mobile within the system. Yet capitalism is the reason Black Americans have lost more ground economically than any other group since the 2008 economic crisis and why Black America is the most oppressed people in the US. As Audre Lorde notably said, “The master’s tools will never dismantle the master’s house.”  The embrace of individualism will do nothing but strengthen a social system predicated on racial violence and capitalist greed. But don’t expect Beyoncé to understand this while popularizing the slogan “Always stay gracious, best revenge is your paper.”

“Her definition of liberation is the embrace of capitalism and on being upwardly mobile within the system.”

Beyoncé’s most loyal fans are Black women, yet she advises young black women to “stay gracious” and pious in the face of a system that is responsible for the violence imposed on them. She is suggesting that more money, not more resistance, is the best means to settle matters with a racist apparatus that is firmly in the hands of bankers and corporate executives who became rich from Black labor. Beyoncé hopes that we as black women will not confront the system and instead seek out a seat at the table of exploitation and capitalist ruin.

The young movement against racism and police violence in the US should reject such messages. These messages are not rooted in the history, theory, or revolutionary principles of the Black liberation movement. Rather, songs like “Formation” are just another attempt of many to wage war on Black radical political consciousness and organization. When they arise, we should condemn them. We should then follow the condemnation with these critical questions: What does liberation look like? What are we fighting for?

The only way the imagery within Beyoncé’s video could be deemed “radical” is if the scope of the movement is limited to a fight for Black representation within the capitalist system. The Black Panther Party called this development “Black capitalism.” Black capitalism fights to break down the barriers of institutional racism only to ally with the Empire and reap the benefits of the capitalist system responsible for Black oppression. Liberation is reduced to elevating a tiny minority of the Black community to class comfort. Solidarity is defined not as a struggle against a common oppressor, but as collaboration with the oppressor. These are the principles that guide the Black Congressional Caucus’s history of voting for the empowerment of the Israeli apartheid state and artists such as Jay-Z, whose recent fortunes have been derived from the gentrification of the Black community of Brooklyn.

“There is no market for being deeply critical of the system within the confines of the corporate media.”

The corporate hip-hop industry is one large market for capitalist principles, whether it is the patriarchy peddled by Kanye West and J. Cole or the “money is the motive” mindset of Drake. There is no market in this industry for radical black thought, self-love, and liberation. There is no market for being deeply critical of the system within the confines of the corporate media. There’s no space for indicting the system. One cannot fight the imperialist system and financially benefit from it. The corporate media simply won’t allow it.

There appears to be a layer of fear that protects Beyoncé from criticism despite her blatant exploitation of the bourgeoning movement. Many are hesitant due to her perceived social identity. Her status as a Black woman does not mean she is for the liberation of Black women. Just because her music is marketed and packaged to black people does not mean she is working in solidarity for radical change. Under capitalism, the masses are merely consumers to the vast majority of these corporate artists. Profit is their motivation. It is important to be critical of all corporate artists who attempt to co-opt the movement. How else can we move to a higher level of struggle and demand that icons and leaders uphold the ideology and practice of the movement?

If Beyoncé’s embrace of patriarchy is deemed feminist and her lust for money a model for Black liberation then we are in serious trouble.  Her target audience, young Black people, will internalize these principles as the correct path to social transformation. The revolution will not be televised, but the corporate media will certainly make it into a product. The courageous actions of thousands of Black people across the country have forced the corporate media to react. Thinking positively about this development is one thing, thinking critical about it another.

“If Beyoncé’s embrace of patriarchy is deemed feminist and her lust for money a model for Black liberation then we are in serious trouble.”

Beyoncé may very well be sincere in her love for her daughter, her yearning to get in touch with her cultural roots, and her sympathy towards victims of police brutality. However, no matter how “pro-Black” Beyoncé may be, the concrete political message in her music cannot be denied. “Formation” is not solidarity. It is individualism. Beyoncé pushes her listeners to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and work hard in a machine that has oppressed Black people for centuries.

Actual radical political thought and action would be class suicide for Beyoncé. Corporate entertainers are destined to serve the neo-liberal agenda of capitalism and white supremacy.  Her Super Bowl performance alone unleashed an attack from the right wing center of the US ruling class. But it appears Beyoncé may perform in the colonial state of Israel, which is ruled by its own band of right wing racists. Such a move alone, should it occur, calls into question the value of symbolism in this period.

This moment is a lesson to all of us fighting for a new world based on human need and against the exploitation of humanity. As an artist and a Black revolutionary woman, I have learned from this Beyoncé moment that art must be used to advance the struggle for liberation and be rooted in the actually existing conditions of our people. The expectation should not be for Beyoncé to commit class suicide, but for us in the movement to elevate our own political struggle into a culture of resistance that is surely in birth.

The Follow-Up: Then a Thought Came to Me…

This is a follow-up to previous post: Where Do You Go From Here, Kendrick Lamar?

From the Melanated Man:

The suggestion I posed for rapper Kendrick Lamar was to remove himself from the limelight of the mainstream music industry and join the ranks of those on the grassroots level to perform real, social activism. If his message is truly transforming into a conscious tone, he will still be able to rap with the conscious rap genre.

A change of this magnitude, at a point where his status has “elevated,” would be groundbreaking and beneficial to the people he wishes to liberate (black, melanated people.) The change itself is not groundbreaking because there are other rappers and music artists in different genres that are doing the  works on the grassroots level already. The timing, as I mentioned previously, of the change would show the black world that he is just a common man like the rest of us. And it would hopefully set the standard for other big time black artists to do the same, which would be the true miracle in itself.

That would be revolutionary activism.  What if artists like Drake or even Future (seriously!) were to follow his lead? An artist who chose to give up the fame and fortune to live out his rhymes? THE CURRENT TOP DOG IN THE GAME??  Because Kendrick is only one man, he can’t do this on his own. Change is a collective effort. Which is an enemy to capitalism.

The industry will try to minimize the change, which they are currently doing by showering Kendrick with “awards.” After this time of glory, they are going to persuade him to lay off the black consciousness and revert back to previous albums, or better yet, pervert it with party music. There is nothing wrong with party music, but that is not Kendrick. Or so I think.

(And then a thought came to me…)

There is a  Catch-22 to this situation. If art imitates life, then I have to question the magnitude of Kendrick jumping ship. Honestly, would it really make that big of a difference considering who his audience is?

Whether we realize it or not, his message is only geared toward 10-15% of the current United States population. And of that population, it resonates with maybe 20-30%. Only a few truly desire liberation for themselves, let alone know what that truly means. And some really don’t give a damn. I think I am expecting a little too much from Kendrick Lamar.

The responsibility of our liberation falls on us. We have to be the change we seek to become, which in turn will influence the entertainers, the music artists, art in general. That is the only way. NO MORE TOP DOWN LEADERSHIP! We’ve seen how that has turned out….

Black, melanated people don’t understand what we are really up against and who we are fighting. We have to educate ourselves on our history, before slavery, to understand the type of people we really are. Our true nature has been corrupted by the powers that be. We MUST self-educate ourselves. Do we really truly desire our liberation. Or we talking out the side of our neck? Until then, let’s enjoy the “Three Ring Circus” of the music industry while it lasts.

Where do you go from here, Kendrick Lamar?

Written by: The Melanated Man

I didn’t see Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy’s performance. By many accounts the performance was groundbreaking and earth-shaking. I haven’t had a chance to listen to his latest album To Pimp a Butterfly, and again by all accounts it was groundbreaking and earth-shaking. His debut album (not his first) Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City was mesmerizing, so I can only imagine how amazing this album with a CONCIOUS tone would be. Kendrick’s rise through the ranks from rags-to-riches story closely resembles the trajectory of the likes of 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Eminem, and numerous others. A trajectory towards greatness. At this point though, a question of what type of greatness is Kendrick shooting for should be asked.

The mainstream music platform is hardly the setting where real, transformative change takes place for the black (melanated) population that is considered the minority voice in not only the USA but also the entire planet. A population that has been suffering from long-term economic turmoil, rampant inequality and racism, and overlooked spiritual, mental and emotional abuse. If anything the mainstream music platform has only worsened the problem.

Kendrick resembles a young 2Pac in his young career, where the latter spoke against the atrocities his people were facing on a daily basis. Unfortunately he became tainted by the THUG LIFE mantra propagated by his handlers and his label Death Row. Anyone with passing knowledge of 2Pac’s last days regarding his music had to know that he was dealing with a conundrum on whether he should stay true to his original message of true liberation for his people or poison his fans with the message of overconsumption and overall reckless living. Maybe it had something to do with his untimely death (assassination?)

For those who are unfamiliar with the situation, we do not own the music industry. The industry is ran by white, mostly Jewish executives who have no interest in black (melanated) liberation. Our liberation brings about their demise. Any type of music that promotes and encourages that message will at best co-opted to fit capitalistic ideals or worse, extinguished. So again I ask, where do you go from here, Kendrick Lamar?

If his motives are pure and sincere regarding the liberation of his people he would be best served to graduate from the mainstream music platform (maybe to the conscious rap genre) and serve his community at the grassroots level, sort of like a riches-to-rags situation. He places the needs of his people above his own desires, becomes an example to not only other current music artists, but to his peer group as a whole. Collectivism wins over individualism, a close ally to capitalism. Or…

He can stay in the mainstream music platform, where more than likely he will have to compromise not only his music artistry but himself as a whole to survive , thus exposing himself as a fraud. A foe against his own people. They will corrupt his music into the same acidic message that has enslaved our minds for decades. He will be no different than Jay-Z, Kanye West, etc. that are currently atop the Billboard charts. Artists who sold us out.

Will he take the road less traveled? Will he prove me wrong? I hope so sincerely. I like the guy and what he brings to the table. But there were others like him who came before him as well.

The Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City album was a truly entertaining masterpiece.  Judging by his latest album he may be venturing into social activism. Let’s hope it’s not an anomaly.
