Human nutrition is often measured and regulated by acids and alkalis. Acid foods usually have a sour after-taste. They cause deterioration or corrosive by nature. Alkaline foods are non-acid and make an acid solution weak. They taste bitter and feel slippery within the mouth. The pH scale measures from 0 to 14. From 1 to 7 is acid, 7 is neutral, and 7 to 14 is alkaline.
Alkaline foods have a high content of magnesium, sodium, calcium, and potassium, essential nutrients for the body. Most fresh fruits and vegetables are alkaline. Without large amounts of alkaline mineral elements in the diet, the body becomes DIS-EASED. The body robs the tissue and bones for the alkaline elements to balance a high acidic diet, which causes a nutritional debt. This debt is paid by the organs, nerves, bones, and connecting tissues. The drain of minerals (alkaline) nutrients from the lungs, reproductive organs, jaw, teeth, then the bones results in DIS-EASE, such as: colds, flu, reproductive problems, jaw deterioration, rotten teeth, etc.
A diet that consists of animal flesh and cooked vegetables is the second highest acidic diet. The vegetarian that includes raw and cooked foods has the lowest acid levels. THE HEALTHIEST ALKALINE-ACID RATION IS A DIET WITH A 4:1 RATIO (80% ALKALINE, 20% ACID!!)
All refined , processed, denatured man-made foods are acidic, which includes: fast food restaurants, your Hamburger Helper-type meals, TV dinners, all the desserts we love to partake during the fall and winter holidays (and other numerous occasions), etc., etc., etc.!!! If it’s not fresh, green, birthed with seeds, straight out of the produce section, you’re playing Russian roulette. There’s a list of alkaline and acid foods listed below:

Thanks for the food list! I’ve read a few things on the benefit of and necessity for an alkaline diet. This is good stuff.
Great post! That’s a nice list you got! We must remember…health is wealth!
