From the Melanin Man:
Consciousness has a totally different meaning than when I first began to question the world around me. In the beginning I had to put a name to it (Black consciousness) so it was clear where I stood in my newfound awakening. I was for Black (melanated) People, with Black People, about Black People through thick and thin. I desired to see my peoples rise from the maladies that plague us by and large still to this day.
For the most part, I’m still that way.
Yet, through my own personal experiences I’ve realized that there’s a more significant purpose, something I’ve touched on a bit in previous posts. And the term consciousness has a new meaning to me. Consciousness is not just the defense system that protects your deepest, darkest, realest part of you (your subconscious) from being subdued with false rhetoric. In this day and time for me, consciousness is waking up to the reality that you are on a mission to transform your soul into something different than from its original configuration.
The journey back home, or the journey back to the Source as a renewed entity , can take place over many lifetimes. I guarantee that it takes more than one lifetime to fully understand the nature of humanity in its totality. I’m pretty sure that in some of those lifetimes you were not aware of your soul’s purpose (or that you even had a soul) thus you were unable to untangle yourself from the illusion of humanity. In that regard, it’s possible that you may have “wasted” some lifetimes. Yet any and all experience is good experience, whether or not you were aware of the bigger picture at the time. Also, we choose our lifetimes prior to incarnating into physical; so from that aspect, there is a possibility we choose not to be conscious at all during those lifetimes.
Speaking for myself, I cannot imagine living one lifetime, rather multiple lifetimes at that, without being conscious of my soul’s journey. It does not seem plausible to me whatsoever. Learning about Akasha (ether, melanin, the fifth element) and the Akashic Records, it’s possible that I could’ve lived a life or lives where I was all in on humanity and being human.
Note: Without the fifth element (that inner melanin, the black sun or soul), you cannot tap into those Records.
I could have saved thousands as a hero of the people in one life, or I could have killed millions in another as a tyrannical dictator. I could have built pyramids in the Americas and/or Africa with such ease in one time, or I could have been a slave serving my masters in those same locations in another time. Thinking about those possibilities brings home the fact that this earthly physical realm is only a testing ground for all sorts of drama, whether positive or negative, good or bad. Either way, the experience enriches the soul that brings it one step closer to total metamorphosis. No need to be emotional about the madness that incurs through it all. You’re suppose to be a chaos (melanated) being anyway, so the insanity that occurs on this realm should be a piece of cake.
I haven’t tapped into my past lives yet; someday I will once I master deep meditation and learn to listen to my inner voice on a more regular basis. For now, it’s more important to focus on the life I have now than the ones I’ve previously lived. By the way things have turned out so far in my almost 34 years of existence in this current form, especially during these interesting times, my journey may be about to come to an end.
Where does your soul stand on it’s journey back home?
Peace and Love,
The Melanin Man
